In Italy, badminton is not as popular as in most countries (i.e. Nort Europe and Asia). There are a few clubs around the country and a national federation (FIBA) organizing tournaments and coaching. The national team is based in Milan, where they train at Palabadminton (san Siro area), the largest court building in Italy for badminton.
Badminton in Italy faces several challenges. The sport still struggles to gain widespread media attention, which limits sponsorship opportunities and overall visibility. Additionally, badminton often competes for funding and facilities with more popular sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. Now even padel and pickleball are gaining more media coverage than badminton.
Badminton Milano has two indoor badminton courts (shared with pickleball, which has the same court size) in via Tucidide 10, Milan, and they can be booked by asking via email.
